Lead Vocals
Derek James is the soul of New Moon, delivering Raw, Powerful vocals as the band's lead singer. A father, husband, and proud grandfather, he's a true product of the '80s and '90s - when rock was loud, honest, and unapologetic. As the oldest member of the band, Derek brings more than just experience; he's a mentor and a grounding force, with a voice that carries decades of stories, scars, and triumphs. On stage, he's all heart and grit - proof that real rock 'n' roll only gets better with age.

Theresa Medina cut her teeth in professional musical theater after earning a B.A. in Theater with a focus on voice and speech from UIW—but the stage was just the beginning. For over 15 years, she’s fronted Rock, Blues, Funk-Jazz, and Soul bands with powerhouse vocals and fearless stage presence. Equal parts grit and grace, she brings the house down night after night, while also working full-time as a sought-after voice coach, helping the next generation find their fire.

Joe Rodriguez is a talented guitar player whose signature sound is shaped by the soulful tones of his beloved Stratocaster. Blending precision with passion, his playing cuts through with melody and fire, whether he's laying down searing solos or textured rhythms. Off stage, he's a dedicated father, balancing the chaos of rock ‘n’ roll with the heart of a family man.

Fueled by the slap-heavy chaos of Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers), the punchy precision of Mike Dirnt (Green Day), and the gritty groove of Fieldy (Korn), his style is a hard-hitting mix of funk, punk, and metal. On stage, he's a force—unfiltered, loud, and locked in—bringing a heavy backbone to every riff and rhythm. A lifelong friend of drummer Taylor Walker, their chemistry runs deep, forged long before the first downbeat. Offstage, Billy is as committed to his family as he is to his craft, balancing the highs of rock life with the love of home.
